We value Computing within our school and encourage our children to experience different ways of accessing mobile technology. From laptops and iPads through to games consoles and bee-bots, our children are able to access a wealth of resources and explore different technologies to suit their learning styles.
The online safety of our children is of paramount importance to the school and something that we monitor and revisit regularly. Staff are trained yearly on online safety ensuring that they are up to date with new information and best practice.
Stay safe at home
One way of making the internet safer to use at home is to use a ‘safe search’ search engine. Below are links to search engines designed for children to use on the internet.
And below is a link to the education version of YouTube
We encourage parents to set up filtering on their home internet. To learn how to do this for the major internet providers please click the text below.
We also suggest parents take time to visit this website which will provide information on: Snapchat, Facebook, Netflix, Minecraft and Mobile internet devices.
If you have any concerns or problems regarding your child and online safety please contact Mrs Williams via email@example.com (marked for the Online Safety Co-ordinators attention)
Our school offers an open door policy so please discuss any concerns with your child’s class teacher or with Mrs Williams our Online Safety Co-ordinator. A meeting can be arranged before or after school time if needed.
Remember you can also report any online concerns to CEOP via their online safety centre.
