Daily school wear
All pupils at Beecroft Academy are expected to wear school uniform and do so to foster a sense of belonging to our school community. Please ensure all items are clearly marked with your child’s name.
The school ensures that pupils who are required to follow certain dress requirements, e.g. by virtue of their membership of a particular religious or cultural group, are afforded flexibility to allow them to wear a uniform that adheres to their requirements as far as possible.
The school endeavours to meet all requests for amendments to the uniform for these purposes; however, will ensure that the needs and rights of individual pupils are weighed against any health and safety concerns for the entire school community.

Jewellery
In the interests of health and safety, pupils are not permitted to wear any jewellery, other than a wristwatch. It is helpful for children to have an analogue watch (not digital) as this helps them to learn to tell the time.
Children are permitted to wear one pair of stud earrings. Loop style earrings are not permitted.
Make–up, nail varnish and nail extensions
Pupils are not permitted to wear any make-up, coloured nail varnish or nail extensions to school.
Hair
Long hair should be tied up. Hair bands should be black, grey, blue or red, to co-ordinate with Beecroft Academy school colours. Extremes of hairstyle (e.g. shaved logos) and brightly coloured dyed hair or coloured braiding are not permitted.
