Safeguarding and Child Protection

At Beecroft Academy we see Child protection and Safeguarding as one of our highest priorities. A Safeguarding Audit, by an independent agency stated that:

‘The School is fully committed to safeguarding pupils and provides a warm and welcoming environment’ (Luton, Independent Safeguarding Auditor)

The purpose of this page on the website is to fully inform you of the safeguarding practices which take place in our school (mainly through our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy’ and also to share any resources with parents that may prove useful.

Please also note, there is a separate page on the website for E-Safety / Online Safety.

Safeguarding Survey for parents

As part of the work that Bedfordshire Police and partner agencies are doing to tackle issues such as child sexual exploitation and online grooming, the force is inviting parents and carers to take a short survey about their knowledge of staying safe online. The force hopes that the survey will give us an insight into parents’ and carers’ views, which will help them tailor their communications moving forward – ensuring that they are sharing the right information and tools parents and carers need in order to help keep their children safe online.
